Customer Reps are Helpful - Software Has Glitches

I'm very disappointed this year, being a user of Turbotax for many years. It took many calls to work through simple solutions. Software failed to work when I tried to e-file my State return. I had to start from the beginning on another laptop to finally succeed in getting Turbotax to file my State return. Intuit needs to give more attention to improving its software for Mac users.

Gets the job done

While improved over the past two years, Intuit spends WAY TOO MUCH of my time pitching me their add-on and other services. Christ, I already spent too much on the do DIY product. Wish they would spend as much time fixing the glitches as they do pushing other services. I will say, when I called in, the knowledge and ability of their customer service Reps seam to have improved... I was ready to jump ship all together.

Easy to use. Tax law changes are updated live. Value for price of product. I use turbo tax to prepare my childerns and parents returns.

Some New Features are More Difficult

Overall, I still like the program and think it is very good. The help and ability to flag topics is very useful. There are a few changes I did not like: 1) The W2, Interest, and Dividend inputs were very difficult if you did not import the information, 2) When importing a Consolidated 1099 all sales were imported individually, rather than by section, even though there were not adjustments, 3) Would be nice to be able to skip Medical Expenses, 4) The NYS 2-year summary is no longer available.
