Turbo Tax make my annual filing much easier.

Difficulty importing investment forms such ask 1099-DIV and 1099P from Schwab, fidelity and Coinbase. Hope this portion is better next year.

Awesome, except if you have foreign pensions

Excellent product overall and generally easy to use. I rated it 4 out of 5 for one specific issue. I immigrated to the USA in 1990 and have pensions that I receive from Foreign sources. It was not at all clear regarding how this should be entered. I ended up entering a dummy 1099-R, This then asked me for a federal ID for the payor, which does not exist. Also it did not ask about any taxes paid to the foreign government. For this I had to find my way to form 1116 to get the double tax credit. Please amend the program for next year to accommodate dual citizens, green card holders and others receiving non employment income from a foreign source.

TURBO TAX IS NOT DEPENDABLE!!

I filed on the 15th and got no confirmation. have now done it again and now am afraid I've filed twice, NO HAPPY AT ALL!!!! have used TT for 20+ years and am not satisfied. if I get penalized for late filing I expect TT to pay it!!.

I entered a number wrong from a W - 2 form but Turbo Tax didn't pick it up. It wasn't until it was transmitted and rejected that I knew.

1. Depreciating a new vehicle: Most small business owners will elect to let TurboTax calculate their gas expense from their milage. Once you do this it is almost impossible to find a way to depreciate your new car. Instead you have to say that you want to work out your own gas expense to get to the forms to depreciate the car. Once you have done this, weirdly, TT tells you it would be better to let it calculate your gas expenses. 2. When you enter utility, insurance etc. expenses for your business TT. conveniently works out how much of these goes to your business based upon the % of house. But, when you do a rental apartment attached to your house TT. asks for the utility, insurance etc. without making it clear it you should enter the full amount or work out the % yourself. 3. TT. suddenly introduces new terms like Elections without fully explaining what they mean.

Still recommend, but not as good as past years

I have used Turbo Tax for almost 20 years, but this year's version was buggier than any in past memory. It was also less intuitive and somewhat harder to use in certain areas such as when you needed to double check or change investment forms. While I still recommend, I just wanted to make note that this year's version wasn't as easy to use and frustration free as in the past.
