I have used Turbo Tax software since it was first released over twenty years ago. I would recommend Turbo tax for anyone to use, but keep in mind that you should still have some understanding how to do your taxes when using the software.
Pros: I moved

I found This years version somewhat lacking in the depth of information that was available in previous years. when available on the CD\DVD. There was little to no tax help advice, as compared to the mini videos that helped guide the user in explaining some complex topics, and certain tax strategies

TurboTax has really gone downhill for usability

$25 eFiling fees for state return are ridiculous, and then you provide ONLY the option to use a credit card to pay that fee AND THEN you want to charge a $40 PROCESSING FEE for using a credit card. That's ridiculous. I'll print and mail my return and the late penalty will probably be less than your off the chain fees.
The only reason I'm still using TT is because I need to do some amended returns for previous years. When I get those done and caught up, I'll no longer be using TT.
Which reminds me, I got extremely angry last year when I needed to install a previous version on a new laptop to DO an amended return, but no--you don't allow that activation after a certain time anymore. AT LEAST WAIT UNTIL we won't need it for doing an amended return. That's also ridiculous.
