Extremely frustrating. Filed taxes last night and received rejection...apparently needed a new ip pin, but program didn't tell me that...now tried for 6 hours to add ip pin but it won't allow me to.

multiple failures to e-file, bad AGI checks

Issue with AGI confirmation failing the e-file transaction. We entered the value exactly as it was on our 2023 return. Previous errors were due to invalid 1095 & 8962 forms which were not necessary.

Features Needed

There needs to be a way to hide the totals up top so you can enter your entries in peace without there being the constant up and down. Please make it a toggle. Let's make the tax help more competitively priced. Why charge us to file? We already bought the software, can you roll it into the price? The search feature needs to be able to lead us to the portion of the software where we would enter certain things, not just be a help system. For example, if I search for "Broach Business Expenses" it should lead me to the expenses portion of the broach business among other businesses. Not all topics and pages explain what things are, like SSBT. There was no clickable link and I had to look that up. Investment portion needs to let you upload PDF's and Consolidated 1099's, importing and pulling ALL data from them just as easily as a W-2. Turbo tax is really lacking in this regard. If W-2's can be imported AND uploaded, why not the automated love for the Consolidated 1099s? I had to enter 3-4 different 1099 documents for both of my consolidated 1099s, tedious! It seems like with the help of AI, this software could be SO much smarter. It's good software for 2009 to 2015, but in 2025, it lags.

problems for first time in 10 years with turbo tax

i have used turbo tax home and business for last 10 years with no software problems at all. This year had problems with error on review returns. Kept telling me to remove red x on form 1040 schedule c, but when i clicked on red x it wouldn't remove. Tried going back to schedule c in business expenses and to exact item, but i would click it off and then i go back and software it automatically clicking it back on. When this happens it won't finishi return with the error and you cant e file your return. I ended up starting a new return and i didn't get the same error and was able to e file, but it was a waste of time. Another problem i had with this years software is that when i was transfered to turbo tax portal to pay for returns the popup window wouldn't scroll all the way down on my small laptop screen, i had to plug in my laptop to my larger tv to be able to hit the blue continue button. I have always used laptops to do my returns and this is the first time software isn't working right. Hopefully someone reads this and sees my work arounds to be able to fix.
