Turbo Tax is the best

The IRS e-file limit message is NOT ALWAYS correct

This turbotax 2024 was the first year that I had a problem. It ended up being pretty horrific. I spent hours trying to e-file my return, I even contacted support.
This new IRS message saying I've reached my e-file limit, ended up being a glitch, because after all the work and having intuit on the phone with me for over an hour, I was finally able to e-file.
The software, even after buying another copy, and the copy being the next level upgrade product of turbotax - Home and Business - it kept insisting my only option was to file by mail.
I'm glad I didn't give up, because that would have ended up being a mistake.

Interface Is Worse, Last Year's Was Better

This year's version of TurboTax is the worst interface. It required more scrolling, then when I answered questions, the screen would auto-scroll or auto-refresh to the top and I had to scroll down again just to answer the next question. For 1099-DIV and 1099-INT, the interface was cumbersome and unclear. Last year's version allowed me to simply edit the exact area (INT or DIV) when I click edit. This year's interface was confusing because after I click on edit, then if I don't want to import from financial institutions (importing doesn't always work) I have to choose INT or DIV again?!?!? That doesn't even make sense. I already chose INT or DIV when I clicked "edit."
In addition, each screen required more scrolling down. This year's version was a disservice to long-time TurboTax users. Keep it simple! Otherwise, we're switching to a different tax software.

7 Successful Years with Turbo Tax

I love being able to ask questions of a real tax professional when I have questions. Having the option to contact a professional when I need an answer has allowed me to continue to use Turbo Tax and file my own taxes instead of going to an accountant. The tax professionals have all been helpful and courteous to deal with. I've found them knowledgeable. This year (taxes for 2024) the program seems to be better than in previous years and more intuitive.

Turbo gets worse every year

Gets worse every year. Many specialized questions that i didn't know how to answer. But then again, if I could, I'd be a CPA and wouldn't be using this program. Very tired of paying to efile state taxes too. And, for some unknown reason (according to support) my tax file was not available in my account and i got to start from scratch!
