Turbo Tax has limitation

Disappointing that you can't create a return (file), save it, and then continue to complete it and save it to another name AND end up with two separate return (files). One can rename the file. But the only thing one can do is to start an entirely new return if, for example, one wanted to explore options for filing. This is a poor software design.
Also, the import feature is confusing this year. I've used Turbo Tax since almost its creation, was an early Beta tester; this year's version has deficiencies.

Have used Turbotax for years. Tax language I learned years ago has changed. This year the language seemed a little clearer.

Most disappointing tax year ever using Turbo Tax

I bought the same Software I always use to do my Taxes and learned my Computer was not capable of running it. I had to borrow a Computer to use the Version of TurboTax I bought. This made tax day any least twice as stressful.

I have used Turbo Tax for 30+ years. I will never use again. I had to do a return 3 times because the information from Form 1095A did not carry over to form 8962. Form 8962 showed up in my form list but failed to submit 3 times when e filing. So now after 8+ hours of wasted time, I have to mail the return. The state return is also an issue because NY requires e filing. Now I am ready to file and mail the Federal Return with the manually completed Form 8962. Accidentally I checked file an extension and can't seem to change back to mail. There is not information on the help website which indicates how to change so that I can just mail my return. Thus my choices are to start over again for a 4th time or just not have a payment voucher with the mail in return. This is so inefficient. I have never had an issue making changes. I will definitely find another option in the future.

Would not download last years return

For the first time in over 20+ years using Turbotax, last years 2023 return would not download into this years 2024 return.
I always keep in the same file holder.
Hence I had no comparisons to look at online.

Turbotax Desktop is effective, but could be better

I have been a user of TT Desktop (Home & Business) for more than 20 years. While the program is effective at collecting and organizing the data and usually also in e-filing, every year I end up wasting several hours due to bugs (different issue each year) in the software. Several times it would not even let me e-file my state return after paying thee $25 fee, with no way to get a refund. The user interface could be improved too. Why are the errors displayed in such a small window that one has to switch to "Forms" to understand what the issue is, and how to fix it?

TurboTax got me there

It is 90% there. I'd like to be able to enter the same types of items i did in the prior year without having to start with the walk me through it. (i.e. a spreadsheet of prior year and space for current year)
