I have always used H & R Block until last year. I tried turbo tax out and it is way better and easier to use

TT an example: what is wrong with Intuit

TurboTax gets one star because it finally allowed me to file taxes. It balks at missing data that professionally prepared returns have never ID'ed as a problem. Try finding documentation! I had my return rejected because it did not have an IP PIN (would have been nice to have asked if I had one to remind me). The "Fix" provided by TT was telling me to go to the "Federal Tax" tab and select "Other Tax Situations" and choose the "IP PIN" section. There is no federal tax tab!!! After clicking tabs starting on the left and drilling down to actual real content I found a block of options associated with the Personal tab that included an option for Identity Protection PIN. I added this and then had to go through every page of the submission workflow to submit my taxes with the PIN.

Can't efile state separately from federal.
