You have made the task of generating a tax return much more complicated.

Yearly system requirements gets more arduous

Great program, but the System Requirements for each year is getting more difficult. I can't keep buying a new MacBook Pro that covers the past 2-3 macOS systems, just because YOU insist next year's Turbo Tax requires macOS 14, 15, 16, whatever the minimum is.

IRS Mileage Deduction
on April 15, 2025
Posted by: BenSB
I could not find anywhere to enter the business deduction for using IRS approved mileage. The system only allowed me to use the standard deduction or the actual mileage. NO where could I find an option for IRS approved mileage. Even when I manually went to schedule C. This is a big issue for small business owners who choose to use that option. Your system should guide me through that. Pretty epic omission.

Turbo Tax - to pushy with updates
on April 15, 2025

Absolutely do not appreciate the constant updates of older years. Once my return is filed the Turbo tax should not force updates for previous years. Provide the option with reason of need to update but should absolutely be my choice to do. I have used Turbo tax for over 10 plus years. Having a Turbo Tax cd with the last updates when I completed my return was the way to go!!!!

Zero is not 0.
on April 15, 2025

There is a software error, wherein I entered a zero on a worksheet, which went to Schedule C as 0., which prevented me initially from e-filing because TurboTax read a 0. as something rather than a blank line. Stupid error when zero is not the same as 0. is not the same as a blank on the line.

The software is excellent, Intuit is awful.

I don't trust Intuit to look after me rather than its profits. It just tried to charge me $40 to process a $15 fee and it was very sneaky about the disclosure. Every year, more suggested add-on fees and more self-serving popups.
This stuff makes me really hate Intuit after the software itself did a good job.
