Not so Awesome Turbotax

Lots of glitches and erronous error messages that never get fixed. Then of course the efile errored out on the first try. It's getting worse every year.

Turbotax Has Really Gone Downhill

Your program has changed significantly
I really was turned off by the constant effort to push me toward paying for one of your "Experts" to do the return
Trying to charge $40 to process deducting state filing fee from Fedreal refund is outrageous money grab

The program created several errors by generating unneeded forms I had to bypass, and entering income twice which nearly created a huge bill until I caught it
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

not so good this year

I was unable to load my w2, nor my info from 2023 turbo tax, no my investments from Fidelity. I manually input everything. The entire purpose for purchasing turbo tax is ease of use and save time by downloading all info. I had to use countless hours inputting data. I could gone to the library and gotten hard copy forms and don the sane thing.

PC Download version has missing items

I used the PC download version and I found a couple of missing items in the Step-By-Step process that used to be a easier. The Foreign Earned Income exclusion is missing so I had to load the forms separately and Business expenses wages and salaries is not a entry box anymore so I had to find it on the specific form. It seems like the Step-By-Step process quality is not as good as it used to be. Perhaps you are not keeping this version up to date.
