Are my taxes really filed? And are they correct?

I was concerned that TTax was charging me normal tax rates when I am a Senior in my Seventies.
There is no way to check that they are using the correct Date of Birth.
I also think it charged me twice to efile my state because I logged into my account and got the plus program and paid for it then. (Very Disturbing.)
Last but not least...
After I efiled and started to print there was a message to file my state return now for another $20 in the top margin .of the print window. I was thinking of Intuit for a business venture but this gives me very serious reservations. I think I have used TTax for 20 years or longer and have never seen this level of stupidity.
That and the fact that I may have to have an accountant check it has me livid.
Especially while it's flashing live tax advice for $50.00.

TurboTax is good but can't upload an attachment!!

I used the Home & Business, Desktop version to prepare my taxes for 2024. I have done this for as long as TurboTax has been available and overall have always thought this version of the TurboTax was excellent. This year I was required to attach a pdf to further explain a startup company and to my surprise, TurboTax has no method to attach a document to an electronic tax filing. This is particularly surprising because TaxAct does have the capability and this should not be a significant issue. I therefore was forced to file by mail. Please make it possible to do attachments in the future.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is not worth the cost since 2023.

Cost is not worth the value. Previous years my children and I were able to share the software now Intuit requires separate logins so even though TurboTax allows up to 5 returns it's a waste. My son-in-law doesn't want me to know how much he earns, not that I would look, it's not my concern. I used to love TurboTax used it religiously for 30+ years. My recommendation is the reason my family uses it. Next year I will look for alternatives and recommend what it to my family. I'm frustrated with Intuit along with all the other greedy corporations! Once a company shows me what they are I believe it. I will limit how much more of my money will you get PERIOD.

Failed to file extension

Last year in 2024 when I tried to file an extension the system would not and I will finish using TurboTax and switch to a different service.

I love Turbotax- just two areas which could be improved. two comments- my husband has to file in two states and it is cumbersome to have to create an entire new married filing separately tax return for the NR state return. Please create a process in which through a serries of questions, Turbo tax could do this in the background. Also there is a n issue with the pension , and box checked off as "do not know if it is taxable" the pension amount seems to be added in twice by the end of the taxes. I think it is a fluke in the system, as it has happened 2 years in a row. Either that or the questions are not clear. I have been using TurboTax for over ten years, so I am pretty familiar with the process, but this area always requires me to adjust after the fact and it is a pain. Thanks.

You took my State refund for an electric car I paid for and gave it to the government for the year! That wasn't for my business. It was for me, the business didn't buy the car.
