TurboTax is very good

The federal return format is excellent with adequate help and guidance. However, there are many missing elements to the state returns. I have to file in 3 states, and often forms I need are not available in TurboTax, and I have to go on line, track them down, and fill them out on my own. TurboTax would get absolute top ratings if the forms and guidance were a little better for the State returns.

Need to fix handling of K-1 forms

Home and Business does not handle K-1's properly. I filled out a K-1 for federal and it did not transfer to state K-1 or allow me to manually create a state K-1. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue and I just noticed that this has been going on for years. Not good.

1031 Like Kind Property ag land 8824 ln25A beware

Form 8824 is programmed in TurboTax that line 25A must have entered what is in Ln25 for my return to be electronically filed. The program wouldn't allow me to electronically file with nothing or $0.00 in Ln 25A. The actual IRS form8824 lines 25A, 25B, and 25C do not need to be the total of Line 25 because property may not be any of those types. I had to file my Federal and State Tax Returns by mail because of this programming error which was identified for tax year 2023 and still wasn't corrected for tax year 2024. That is why I rate it a 1 because the company was informed the previous year and it didn't fix it.

Have been using TurboTax since 1976. As I have made many transitions in my corporate work and lived in several states, TurboTax has always made filing taxes a user friendly way to file.
