hidden fees

if there is going to be a fee to file and a fee to process, then just charge that up front, don't hold my file hostage until I pay extra fees that I'm going to have to pay anyway.

You don't include all the forms such as 709 and 8997. This will be my last year using Turbo Tax.

Software help and explanations are not easy enough

Turbo tax is not as easy as it was during the past years actually I think the reason is traying to force user uses tax advisor, so I think the turbo tax help searches are not as good as before. I think probably next year I will try the other taxing software.

Used to be easier and more functional

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. At some point I switched from online version to desktop or visa versa and I was not prompted to upload my previous year tax return. Consequently, My previous depreciation was forgotten about and I did not think to add it myself because it had always been done and kept track of for me. So this year I discovered that and had to file a form 3115. There is no way to attach the statement required and now I have to mail my return. It cannot be filed. I will be looking for an alternative software for next year.
