I'm not happy that an error in the program made it impossible to add audit protection. Also, the program was buggier than in the past and was a challenge to use at times.

Getting worse every year

Turbotax pushes the online services to a degree where it is really annoying. One would not even know that you can buy a desktop version unless is sold in the stores. Getting answers and links to the actual government instructions is harder and harder every year.
If this continues, I will switch to another tax preparation software.

Some improvements needed.

Program has glitches. Screen froze when saving to PDF and at various points preparing the return. Also unnecessary difficult, e.g. confusing as to where to enter payments made on behalf of beneficiary to a trust, and payments made directly to IRS not using an established tax form.

Threat of no Win10 support for 2025 return year?

I like TT; however I've read hints that TT won't be available for Windows 10 next year. That's unfortunate and will force me to look elsewhere. I have many technical reasons why I don't want Windows 11. There is no reason the TT SW can't be developed and updated while maintaining compatibility. It is more of a testing issue than a coding issue. I hope Intuit learns to stop following SW life-cycles as laid down by Redmond WA. Regardless of what MS is doing, Intuit can still choose to do what they want to support their customer base.
