Good software for Tax Return.

I'd give Home&Business a Five Star. Anyway, Y2024 version didn't transfer my Y2023 Capital Loss to Y2024 California Schedule D automatically. I need to enter it manually,
Turbo Tax Y2021/Y2022/Y2023 Versions did transfer my previous year Capital Loss for California State automatically without issue.

Aging / non-intuitive GUI and too bugs & flaws

1. too many missed areas I needed to enter before I was able to move on to filing. Why? if I do a step by step it should cover all areas. Need to work on logic to cover all those areas prior to moving on to next section.
2. Bug / logic flow error prior to filing. The "check for updates" should be implemented as a step PRIOR to you being able to hit 'transmit' to file. In my case the filing file due to a software update needing to run first?? If that is the case then you should add it as a required (even automatic step) prior to being allowed to transmit.
3. Your annual subscription service offers very little benefit. $5 savings on state. Free Audit defense and a $10 discount? That is all for coming to AUTOMATIC subscriptions renewals? Not a good incentive. Add a $20 discount and $10 off state filing and make subscription renewal non-automatic. Non one wants more automated subscriptions in their lives!

not easy filling out

your program does not allow you to go back and edit easily, entered my 1099B information and needed to edit but the only option was bulk edits and of only a few categories, and when I did change it the changes did not take effect, I had to go into the form and delete, was not easy

Home and Business Bundle worked great

Not entirely happy

I would have given this a 5-star review, except for the fact that TurboTax repeatedly tries to 'sell-up' with add-ons that I've already indicated I don't want/need. Worst aof all--TurboTax makes it virtually impossible for me to file my state taxes by mail, continually blocking effort on my part to do so. To you, it's a 20.00 add-on. To me, it's bad business.
