Turbotax-Not the be-all & end-all I thought it was

I submitted 2024 return and got an email that said it had been submitted and to wait 24-48 hours for an EMAIL letting me know if I've been accepted or rejected. An hour later I got a message (NOT AN EMAIL) that said the return had been rejected. There was no indication that the message had come from Turbotax and I thought it was a scam. It did not indicate what the cause of the rejection was. I NEVER got an EMAIL indicating that the return was rejected. I waited 4 days for an email informing me of acceptance and then I started to worry that the message was legitimate and after doing some more research I discovered that my IP Pin was missing. In fact I had entered the Pin from the prior year, not realizing that it needed to me renewed each year. Certainly the Review for Errors from within Turbotax could have given me error warning of some sort. And the message I got could have included a Turbotax logo or some notation that indicated it was legitimate.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Turbotax 2024 just got better!

This year's software was easier to use and navigate when trying to correctly input company stock options. Previous years were a lot more of a hassle since I do not do this on a daily basis.

I used the online version and it was troublesome not being able to see the actual forms. I swapped to the desktop version as a result.

VERY disappointed that TurboTax was not available on CD this year! That increased my time to use Turbotax by a substantial amount of time!
