Not bad, but, still needs work

While the basic product is decent, I find it lacking in some areas: 1) Foreign tax deduction - why can TT not calculate this? 2) I no longer need this feature anymore (we are nearly retired), but, why can't TT create a IRA optimization calculation? You are not always able to get the maximum tax benefit, so, show users the scale (if joint income was $55K, how much of an IRA contribution actually makes sense, from a tax perspective?) 3) Perhaps allow me to see the IRS forms on the right side of the screen as the step-by-step answers are filled in.

It would be convenient if one could upload 1099 forms (which I had downloaded from financial institutions as PDF files) and YOU read so that I do not need to enter the information manually, and so that I do not have to decipher the info.
It would be nice if you asked for the FED "ID.me PIN" prior to submitting return so that everything does not get REJECTED.

REJECTED 6 TIMES DUE TO PRIOR YEAR AGI.. WIDOW

e filing DID NOT WORK I was REJECTED 5 times. My husband died July 2, 2024 and turbo tax kept rejecting asking for his 2023 AGI I input it and still rejected. when I googled it and looked it up in turbo tax it said to mail my return in. Not only am I dealing with the death of my husband, having to do taxes for the first time without him, and finding out that this is now a chronic problem that the IRS and Social security have not communicated with each other and this goes back to 2021 that this has happened to people. I love your product by this has been very disheartening to me. Please fix, I am mailing in my 2024 return.

A bug due to the newly introduced WA Working Families Tax Credit Application made e-filing for WA almost impossible this year.

TurboTax PC version will not connect to Cloud!

The 2024 PC version of TurboTax did nto connect to TurboTax Cloud at all for me, dispite trying several hours with tech support, and chatroom suggestions with router resets and command prompt ipconfig's. I ahve been relying on this PC based product for over a decade now and this is the first year it hasn't worked as advertised. I can say it has shaken my confidence in TurboTax as a DIY solution for 2025's return. With all these issues, not being able to connect to my Intuit account from the software, and no real solution coming from customer support, I am looking at other option sfor the first time (which is truely disappointing).

Your worksheets on Investments, interest, etc. are not good. Too much space to navigate. Why do you have such large "boxes" filling the page??? Keep things SIMPLE. The graphics are not necessary and are meaningless.

I called to see if I can have a downloaded version of TurboTax, since I lost my 2024 CD subscription. Nikia helped me and was very patient. She provided the instructions and sent me the links, and access to my account. I eventually was able to download and find the license number associated with the product. Please thank Nikia for me. I know she tried to follow up with me several times but have missed her calls. Again thanks Nikia!
