Everything was awesome as usual. I've been turbo taxing for about 10 years now. It is the absolute best, most affordable way to do taxes and turbo tax makes it really so easy a kid could do it. I recommend everyone try it just once before deciding that taxes are too hard for you. Turbo tax really makes it really , really easy. They walk you through and make it look pretty with all but a bow so you only have to press send on the efile and your return comes in about 10 days. A traditional personal tax account with w-2's and kids takes about 30 minutes tops, my business account takes a few hours but most of that is just digging up documents in my storage and adding expenses (something I would have to do either way). In this economy we cannot afford to share our return or miss any deductions due to human error so stop letting the tax shops take you for a ride. Turbo tax has no commitment so there is no excuse not to try it. You can do the whole return and if you don't like what you see you don't have to pay or send it, you can just cancel and go do your usual with no strings attached so just try it. I really like doing my own taxes with turbo tax, I like watching my numbers add up and reading explanations of why and what has the most impact on the final tally. I like that the turbo tax a.i. is programmed not to miss a thing and it updates instantly to catch IRS updates and things a human tax agent would overlook or forget about. I am no scholar but I can brag about doing my own taxes because (unless you're someone that uses turbo tax), there's this popular myth going around that taxes are really hard and complicated, maybe it used to be before software, maybe for the 3% or the corporations, or tycoons that own everything it still is, but for us regular people taxes are no trouble and turbo tax makes it effortless. Even if the tax shops get you ALOT, don't be suckered by that, they're just giving you money that is owed to you, it's not a hookup and they deserve no "thank you's", they are robbing you, stealing a deep cut. it can never be a wiser option to use tax shops, so long as someone is taking a big chunk of your money that you earned and deserve, it will always be less than doing it yourself. Think of what you could do with the extra $300 or $500. Don't let their big number blind you, with turbo tax they can only give you more, never less, and you don't have to lose much if any of your money. They have free software but I think most taxes fall below the $40 range so imagine getting the same return, (possibly bigger, never less), minus only $40 instead of $400. That's literally what the tax shops are doing, I used to be one of the people that thought tax shops were the only way, I was raised to think like that, and the tax shops were normal, I thought they were kind, I thought they were doing me a favor and I appreciated it and didn't think I could get back four or even five figures without them but it's just an illusion, a deception to prey on ignorant and innocent people to take a cut of something they do not deserve for very little effort. To be honest, it really should be illegal for them to do that but since they're not forcing you to seek out their services, that is how they are getting away with it. The automated system turbo tax uses will make sure you don't get audited and even if you do randomly (because every return has that risk) you have a whole team of turbo tax live agents to help you get through that quickly. Being able to say, "I do my own taxes" is a flex, makes me seem empowered and smart to those that are still programmed to use unnecessary tax shops. Honestly, they're robbing you with a big smile on their faces. The tax shops used to ask me the same questions turbo tax does and enter it the same way turbo tax does, there's no magic wand, the computer does all the work preparing the tax forms regardless of the option you choose but with turbo tax you get it done on your time, at your leisure, for way less. With turbo tax I get the same questions only I answer them myself, they're very thorough with their explanations and wrap up all my deductions better than any human because humans can make error, machines don't typically. You don't get more using the tax shops, that's a myth made by them. Who knows more about me than me? I can take my time, enter all of my details and maximize my refund by using turbo tax. The only thing I would do to improve it is to offer better coupons on the premium packages because they have gotten high. Besides that, I fell a little behind on my taxes during COVID so I had to use the paid download for the past year and I am disappointed that the download is not compatible with the online app. Would be super convenient if
i could upload and store the finished downloads into the online app so everything can stay together, be better organized and available for reference to help future returns fill in the gaps without manual input but that's only because I fell behind on my taxes. If I had kept it up storing wouldn't be a problem.

Much harder to use then in prior years especially regarding 1099 forms. Your new added efiling version makes you reenter all the info as if this was your first year. Then you say you can't efile. Same with old way. Says the form not approved - so why are you selling it. Wasted a lot of time on this.
