Final Instructions needed clarification.

It went relatively smoothly until the end when I received a cryptic message about additional income on line 21 of Form 1040 to transfer to the PA 40 form. That note said I needed to find and categorize the amount appropriately. However, when I went to line 21, there was nothing there. So I called your help desk. It took us a bit of searching, but we discovered that the missing amount was on another form for "Miscellaneous Income" and not on Form 1040. So we overwrote the income on Form PA 40 to match what needed to be calculated. She was invaluable.

TURBO TAX IS NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE!

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 25 YEARS, BACK BEFORE IT WAS TURBO TAX. WHEN IT WAS MAC IN TAX.
EACH YEAR TURBO TAX HAS MORE FLAWS AND BUGS. THIS YEAR I FOUND MISSING LINKS AND HAD TO ENTER INFORMATION MANUALLY ON THE FORMS. AN EXAMPLE WAS THE LINK TO INPUT SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME. THIS WILL BE MY LAST YEAR TO USE TURBO TAX.

I AM ALSO CONTINUOUSLY ANNOYED AT "QUIRKS" IN QUICKEN. I HAVE ALSO USED QUICKEN FOR OVER 25 YEARS, BUT WILL PROBABLY FIND SOMETHING TO REPLACE IT IN THE FUTURE. EACH YEAR IT APPEARS THAT "FIXES" AND "UPDATES" ARE PATCHED IN TO THE EXISTING SOFTWARE INSTEAD OF REWRITING NEW CODE TO INTEGRATE CHANGES. OVER THE YEARS, PATCH UPON PATCH HAVE LET ERRORS CREEP INTO THE SOFTWARE.
IT'S TOO BAD BECAUSE QUICKEN STARTED OUT TO BE THE BEST SOFTWARE OF ITS KIND. THAT IS NOT TRUE ANYMORE!
UNFORTUNATELY I WILL HAVE TO FIND REPLACEMENT SOFTWARE FOR QUICKEN AND TURBOTAX!

Easy to use with step by step guidance. Turbo Tax allows you to return to where you were if you need to take a break. it provide prior years data for comparison.
