Turbo Tax is not helpful.

This is the last time we use Turbo Tax. This software used to make sense and felt reliable. Not any more. The process for figuring net profit by using expenses as a write-off or deduction from gross receipts - that method was not easy to find when entering in data for our home business.
We knew we were on shaky ground when a simple long-term asset like a piano - Turbo Tax calls the piano a shrub planted outside - whose time being put in the ground determines its depreciation value. In fact, for Turbo Tax, not only did the piano become a shrub, but also the printer and the computer.
It was not possible to import data from the previous year's tax report, which was also done via Turbo Tax. That made finding all those numbers from our 2023 return - our job.
We suspect AI is running the show now on this software, and that is shaky ground, not helpful, and a little scary. We will not be using Turbo Tax again.

TurboTax is not very user friendly

Not the easiest to work with. Required RMD for distributions, but that information is not on standard 1099-R. autofilled,State return, but was a pain to get to complete additions and subtractions. Review asked for entries without showing the original question.
