I rely on TurboTax to help me prepare my returns every year, as I have for over 20 years. The best things about it are (1) having the information transfer year to year and (2) it handle situations I don't need to learn about more than correctly fill in the information provided on forms (and my calculations for my small business) -- and lots more information exists in the worksheets in the Forms section. I'd rather get a postcard from the government telling me what I owe and only have to calculate my small business income, as they have in Europe . . . but this is better than our system without TurboTax to help at a more reasonable cost than hiring an accountant.

Not as user friendly as it use to be

Have been using Turbo Tax for 30 years. This year TurboTax has eliminated a few functions that had been in this program in previous years. Last years Turbo Tax return figures did not transfer to this years program so I could easily compare the previous years figures in the review to the current return. Also they no longer support opening a Turbo Tax return older than 2023.

Good, but the previous versions seemed better

I have been using Turbo Tax from the beginning. I realize the tax code is more complicated and my tax situation is more complex now than then; however, this year was the most difficult.
1. It was more difficult to find help on a topic this year.
2. There were more suggestions to purchase expert help and audit support.
3. The interview process seemed a little difficult.
