Generally, it is a great resource for the induvial to prepare and submit Tax returns. the more expensive versions do a very good job of touching all the areas that I need to address. I have used Turbo Tax for nearly 30yrs and have never been audited. I do struggle with some of the more complicated reporting area such as 1099-B and 1098-T, as Turbo Tax does a poor and confusing guidance path thru these inputs. The spot pop up help menus are usually helpful, but in general, Turbo Tax should make these area more simple to navigate, or provide more explanation for the user to understand how and where numbers need to be typed. I give Turbo Tax an 85% score for doing this already, but it needs to be better. One misguided input almost cost my $9001.00 dollars in over payment (that I did not owe), and the audit check did not catch it. Only my stubbornness to believe it was too much and conducting my own research separately, led me to the solution to identify and correct my error on my own. But Turbo Tax should have been more clear or effective to catch this type error. But Overall, I do appreciate this product. I will continue to use it next year, and I do strongly recommend it for anyone who wants to do their own returns. Just be very careful (read all the help menu's) following the step by step guidance and seek external help if you feel like the software is not giving you the expected resutls.

Turbo Tax is Great! But...

I prefer the CD based program. Also, when it does a check, it insisted that a blank have an entry when there was no data to put in it, and I had to make it up just to proceed to submit. Not a good thing.
