Works pretty well. Been using it for years so even though my taxes are not simple I know how the product works. Also like how it takes a lot of the busy work away by filling out a lot from the previous year

I called in after discovering an error in TurboTax where it carried a number from one worksheet to another that should have been recorded as a negative, but was recorded as a positive. The support rep said she would report it.

Makes taxes easy

Turbo Tax makes filing my taxes ridiculously easy. So long as you keep records of anything that is tax deductible when you spend it, you just follow the prompts from start to finish. I love that it has little drop-down explanations to help you understand what you should (or should not) be entering.

TurboTax is mostly awesome, but screws up K-1s

For everything except figuring taxes on K-1, Turbotax is excellent. But K-1s are complex and Turbotax doesn't do enough to make it easier. Then when it is all done and it is error check time, it finds errors that have occurred throughout the return. The ones in the rest of the return are fixed rather easily. The ones in the K-1 portion can be jury-rigged about half of the time, but the rest of the time, they can't be corrected at all. In three cases this year, it asked for data that was already present. In one case, it asked for removing a dollar amount in a box related to Alternative Minimum Tax, a tax I do not qualify for, but I couldn't change the number and when I tried to find the source document for that number, I couldn't change it there either. Errors like this have happened for at least the last 3 years. Each of the last two years, I was allowed to file electronically, despite the errors (errors that were immaterial to the tax I owed). This year, it wouldn't allow me to file electronically, so I had to print the return and take it to the local IRS office. Doing K-1 taxes are frustrating enough, but when the software doesn't enable error correction — including errors it tells me are present, that is even worse.
