I have used the Turbotax software since 2009, and have found it to be very helpful. I do have a financial background, but even without that, the way the software walks the user through the process makes it easy.

It works well for people that know what to look for, but for those who have home businesses your "home business deductions" don't pop out and they should. Even I had to go to the internet to find out where TurboTax hides that page.

TurboTax changing for the worse.

Overall a good product with some significant negatives. The AMT loss carry forward was not properly transferred from year to year. A disc is no longer available. There is a push toward doing taxes online which I will NEVER do. Someone will always provide a product to keep personal financial information ONLY on your own computer. It may not be TurboTax.

Program is confusing; add-ons are confusing

Changes from year to year are very confusing. There are too many add-on services requiring additional payment. They pop up randomly and during the stress of filing taxes, it is easy to click the wrong button and purchase. I cannot file my taxes unless I fill out this survey!!!! In order to send this survey I am forced to agree to having my contact given out to other companies. I paid full price for this program and should be able to easily file my taxes.
