i find it frustrating that the software asks me to provide information from the previous filing year like carry over amounts. if i can look at the previous return and figure out what to do so can TT.

Wouldn't use any other program

I've been using Turbotax forever, and love it.I have had the same issue the last two years, but a google search and an answer provided by Turbotax answered the question, it was surrounding line 27b on Schedule C that wouldn't let me e file without clearing it. Dunno why this has been happening ( regarding the building my spouse pays rent at to work from ) but we got it figured out. That has seriously been the only glitch I've had in 20 plus yeatrs of using Turbotax. Supoer easy, normal easy to understand english and makes filing a snap.

You have done a great job preparing a tax program and helping a person navigate through the forest of various tax documents and applications, for both the experienced and the beginner in preparing Fed and State tax submissions. I find it to be a challenge to create a tax return to be both accurate, capable of obtaining highest legal returns possible and do so in a timely manner. So, I understand charging for tax advice, however; i believe that questions about TurboTax application functionality should be more readily available and easier to obtain. Case in point, When entering state tax data, my calculator gave me a bad addition resulting in an error. I aways review my tax returns in printed format prior to submission, i am old school that way. I noticed an error, rather sizable I might add. I had a hard time figuring out how to reopen and correct the amount. Found out, that you cannot reopen the state tax form once you review and print it. It took me over an hour to figure out how to get back into the state document and correct the error., and not deleting the state return and recommended. After working for about 20 hours over four days in preparing my tax returns, that was not a stellar moment to be confronted with. I got it corrected and life is good for another year.

Great deal of difficulty to E -FileTrying to E-File federal Tax return with turbo Tax. System would not sent return out to IRS, but shows the following message:
Your member info for Audit Defense is not yet complete. That it goes on: We have noticed that you could not completely fill your member info details. Please verify your internet connectivity and then select CONTINUE to try again and complete your details and registration for Audit Defense.

The radness of Turbo Tax

Really easy to use. I just answer questions and it fills out the multitude of forms and line items. Makes my finances so smooth. I don't have to keep up with tax changes myself. It thinks of everything and reminds me what I need to do now and focus on for later. Love the audit defense option as well as the risk meter. And this year it's free since I filed in time. Love it.
