It's certainly more convenient and cheaper than paying an accountant. But it's not exactly simple; it's pretty complex.

Excellent...but with a major complaint

As usual, Turbo Tax was extremely good in aiding me in filing my annual federal return. My only issue (and it was a big one) this year's turbo tax product didn't allow me to prepare my taxes on my 10 year old apple laptop because this product couldn't run on the iOS of my old laptop ( old computer couldn't do further updates to operate this year's turbo tax program). Consequently, I had to purchase a $1300 new apple laptop, I didn't see a good reason to produce a turbo tax product that wouldn't run on my old and well running laptop!
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
