Turbo Tax has added new levels of support

I had to use the advice offerings twice during my tax preparation this year and both times, I had knowledgable and helpful folks on the line. I would say that for normal tax questions that help is readily available. For more complex situations on Schedule C forms, it takes a lot more knowledge to lead one in the right direction. I felt I did get that support very well.

Turbo Tax is Restricting the Number of Returns

Turbo Tax has been my software of choice for the past 20 years. It is the easiest way to prepare tax returns for my family, but I am disappointed that you can only prepare 5 returns. I have a large family that asks me to prepare their returns and buying multiple copies of the software is expensive. I wish they would allow the consumer to use it at least 10 times for each download.

There seemed to be a couple of clichés in the download version of my software. Had to call twice to speak with a Turbo Tax customer agent to assist me.

TurboTax Usability

I appreciate the usability of TurboTax. It is customer friendly and every year it gets easier to use with the notes that are available on some of the screens. The entire program makes doing taxes relatively simple and I would recommend it to anyone!

Couldn't Find Previously Entered Amount

Wanted to update my HSA account amount, but could never find it again among the Steps or Forms. Fortunately, I neither contributed nor took a distribution from my HSA so maybe that's why it never showed the account amount again (i.e., no tax implication). A little more transparency to go back and review ALL items previously entered would help.

First time self-preparing in 15 years

I have used an accountant for about 15 years. This year, I thought I would give self-preparing a try, and I was surprised at how easy it was. Turbo Tax Home & Business walked me through everything for my W-2, our investment income, and my husband's small business. I will be doing this again next year!

Encountering more bugs in software

I Talked with 2 turbotax consultants and both were fantastic with helping me thru my predictaments . Definitely both were 5-Stars! The software left us completely puzzled at times and we had to just roll the dice and make a choice then hope for the best! Example: we came upon one screen that was blank but in order to advance we had to choose either Yes or No! hope that doesn't impact our taxes!
