Not As Good As Past Years

The 2024 version of Turbotax was not nearly as good as the past years. I've used Turbotax for 10 years or more. This year you used terms without explaining their meaning, requiring me to have to take time to go outside turbot Tax to find meanings. I knew I wanted to use the standard deduction, but I had to go all through the list of deductions before I could choose to take the standard deduction.
I hope you improve before next year or off I go to H & R Block!

As always a very good tool to work with.
Suggestions to consider:
- shorter steps to get in and out of input screens. Seems that repeatedly going back and forward and having to re-answer questions could be eliminated.

RMD Algorithm Needs Work

Had trouble with how IRA's were handled if you didn't take a distribution (RMD) from one of your investments. The total distribution from the other investments covered the total RMD for the year. There were several comments from other users reporting the same problem. It seems like adding adding a RMD worksheet would help make this easier for the user and the programmers who are struggling to get this more seamless! I got it to work with end the constraints of the program, but doesn't seem to be the BEST way to handle it, since others were frustrated by a trial and error method of showing the IRS what we did within the framework of Turbo Tax.
