Turbo Tax is better than filing manually.

Talked to one of your associates, becaiuse I couldn't find where to enter my 6 digit IP PIN. It should be an automatic prompt while you're working on your tax return (s), rather than have to go search for it under Personal-> Other Tax Situations -> Identity Protection PIN, before you finally hit "Transmit."

I don't trust TurboTax.

This year Intuit made TurboTax the most difficult I have ever had in some 20 years. As a result, I don't trust its entries and had to spend over 2 hours reviewing each IRS form manually - and found some errors. Plus, they make it very difficult to enter your IRS IP PIN (the Help instructions are wrong, and even the guidance from on-line forum is opaque).

Download vs. Disc

The download version took WAY longer to install and launch than in previous years when I used the disc. I got several error messages and instructions to uninstall and reinstall and had to temporarily turn off my security software in order to it to load properly. After 3 hours of frustration, I finally got it to load properly and was able to start preparing my return. I'll be checking out other products for next year.
