No explanation for penalties and interest

after completion, i had penalties and interest but never received an explanation as to why!

1099-DIV and Interest

Entry of Dividends and Interest was more cumbersome with the required selection boxes. it was better when you displayed each separately and showed what we had entered last year as an edit option or delete option.
It would be better to have a box to allow manual entry with the first entry or select automatic upload from broker.
It would be nice to have a message that indicated we would have to send in hard copies of our 1099-DIV if we entered amounts by totals before we completed the total entries for each provider.

Help section needs to be more clear

We had a problem finding the page to enter information for the Sale of a Second Home. It is not easily found and when we click on the tab to ADD INVESTMENT INCOME, the first selection is a list of banks. We only found the page we were looking for when we say F it and hit the Continue Button. When we were looking for solutions to this issue the Turbo Tax help line said we need to have TurboTax Premium (we purchased Premier). When we went to HELP section we clicked on Purchase and UPGRADE. There was not an option to purchase PREMIUM so we upgraded to the HOME and BUSINESS package. I'm not sure that we needed to pay the $15 to Upgrade becasue the Premier package may have had the information we needed but.......TURBO TAX doesn't make that step clear. The instructions said we need the PREMIUM package which apparently doesn't exist but it probably should have said we needed the Premier or Home and Business Package. So this rating is due to the lack of clarity and specificity of your help section.

prefer the cd version

much preferred the cd version i've used since '17. this online version is more complicated. not sure i'll use turbo tax for 2025.

TurboTax not as good this year

I found using this year TurboTax less than user friendly from previous years. Especially when it came to importing information from my investments accounts.
