First year of TT issues

After about 15 years of using TurboTax, I had very bad experiences this year. I had to have customer support for loading the program, then later I got an error message when updating the program. Customer support stepped me through the program, finally uninstalling and reinstalling the program. Customer support was great. The program this year was NOT.

Lower Quality at Higher Cost Each Year

Still too many errors, glitches, snags, even in late March. One gross error was somehow showing my AGI a random small subset of my actual AGI, limiting my Roth IRA contribution. I had to ignore it (Roth is post-tax and does not affect my filing anyway — it was just TT's offer to track Roth). Another is that it won't take my payment for e-filing because I'm on the Mac. Phone agents +supervisors all confirmed it's still a problem only on the Mac (can you use Windows instead? Yeah, right). But then, they don't even communicate with their software team to alert them of the problem or recognize the need to create a patch. Yet every day, there's always another update. Totally kills my confidence.

User Interface instructions for stock input entry

This year's addition for which you go to stock funds websites is horrible. The instructions are not clear and having the exact name and password for each account is a pain. Luckily I found the easy fix on the web. Just switch to form mode to enter the int and div information. Better is to make the old way of doing things the very first choice.

No better or worse than last year's version. As the developer, haven't you identified any areas for improvement? I found one - simplifying the "filing" stage to eliminate redundant data entry.

Dividends

I gave 4 stars because you have changed the way you input dividends, 1099-B and interest income it is very convoluted compared to past years. It does not flow and very cumbersome. Other then that it was fine.
