Unquestionably the best tax filing software

Turbo Tax asks all the pertinent questions to successfully file your Federal and State taxes. Also the ability to import last year's information and present it for review can save a lot of time filling out the current year and also presents data to compare to be sure you are following previous amounts designated toward each category

Less accurate in providing needed information.

There were a few links I clicked which went to intuit.com web pages and the content was 404 (missing). Mainly one which linked me to the guaranteed free audit protection. Also, the program kept me looping back to "let's finish your state taxes" without giving any indication as to if there was a problem or not. Then , it wanted me to input information from last years taxes on form 760C (i think) - but no explanation as to how to acquire the needed information.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

Easy to prepare, error checking can be explained a lil more on various forms. Example remove blank lines, etc.

I am a retired government tax law specialist who has been using Turbo Tax since it was first put on the market in the 1980's to prepare me and my family's tax returns. I have recommended Turbo Tax to countless friends and colleagues over the years. Intuit has improved the product over the years to be compatible with emerging and current technologies. It is well worth the cost.
