TurboTax needs to improve

Second year having trouble with Turbo Tax and Windows 10. Last year, I could not import records from E-Trade. This year, some pages were garbled when I printed my copy. Thank goodness the pages to the IRS were OK.

2024 was a rough year

Turbo Tax continues, after several decades, to be my primary tax program. Although, 2024 was a rough year. Updates were delayed and some forms not ready until late in February. Manual overrides were necessary in property taxes just to generate an estimate. Some help subjects were incomplete and supporting forms hard to generate. Definitely NOT your best year. And I still have to have a dedicated Windows 10 machine to run it. Wake up people, you need to support everything from Windows 7, Apple and Linux. At this point, when you drop Win10, I drop you. Otherwise, see you next year.

E-filing PIN

E-filing is impossible. It requires a five digit PIN. I have a six digit PIN. The "fix" does not work. The only option is snail mail.

Returned to TTax after several years

Works well but I found myself frequently going to the internet and TurboTax forums to understand better how to respond to various questions in the step-by-step process. Help inside the application was decent, but not detailed enough. The built-in chat help is useless. It frequently put me into infinite loops, told me to click on commands that were not there, etc.

Dates for Federal Pension adjustment in Oregon

I live in Oregon within both the Multnomah County and Metro Boundaries.
When I enter the dates for Federal retired pension adjustments in the Oregon State Tax portion of Turbo Tax, the dates entered do not always reflect the entered data when I return to the program. I have to manually check these dates every time I exit the program and return.

Declined Credit Card payment for State Returns

Attempted Credit Card payment to electronically file CA state return is inappropriately declined. This forces the alternative payment method from federal refunds of $70.00 dollars. Or you need to use the postal service to mail your state retrun yourself.
