Confused on e-Filing

I wanted to file my Federal & State taxes but didn't have my state property tax form yet. Your software said I had to file state & property tax together but the forms weren't ready yet. The software did say "You may, however, be able to continue and file your federal return right now." So I just e-filed the Federal. Now when I go back in to finish the state & property tax, it tells me I have to e-file the state with my federal! No instructions provided for what to do if Federal has already been e-filed. Very confusing!

I've been using TurboTax for many years for a good reason - it's direct, concise, and relatively simple considering it has to translate a ridiculously complicated tax code.

CD please!!

It took an hour to just start! For $120.00 I should get a CD. What a mess. That being said, I'll use Turbo tax again next year.

Challenging and done

My experience even with multiple college degrees in Business/Accounting suggests you need to go slow and take your time. Read all questions carefully. Save and take a break if tired. With a small business involved and retirement income ie investments this can be a challenge. Requires some definite computer skill as well.

Improvements needed

reasonable walk thru - but needs to have better options for a common event by mortgage holders. Most mortgages are sold by originating bank to new bank - and options about mortgages should include BANK selling mortgage vs "refinance"
