It's Like Using a Recipe

Great product & customer service. The last time I used TurboTax was when they sent out a floppy disc. Needless to say I trashed my taxes and paid a fine for two years. I did get a tax person, but that "relationship" has ended badly. Here I am again doing my personal and business taxes and winning. The level of detail is great for a person like me who loves "process". And the fact that you can call someone, ask a question, get an answer and move along the process without stopping, is revolutionary. I equate doing taxes this way, less about "doing taxes" and more like cooking...you don't have a misstep as you work with the process, since you can get help while you are on a particular area or step. Glad I came back and happy for all the help.

TurboTax Business 2024 is still a good product. It will give you the option of walking you through everything or allowing you to pick and choose what you want o work on. The menu interface is essentially the same and very familiar. I like the familiarity since I have been using it every year for many years.

Turbo Tax Works!

I followed the "Take me through" process and it is understandable, especially with the cogent information presented along the way. The only problem I had was technical - every time I tried to print a form the print came out the size of a postage stamp in the top left corner of the page. After fussing with it for a day I called for help and got an agent on the line who solved the problem for me. I gave him ten stars.

One problem the past 2 years

I have used TurboTax for many years and have overall been satisfied with the service. However, the last 2 years I have noticed what I think is an error and I don't get the best refund possible. I always pay my estimated taxes by the end of the year, and I always get a refund for over payment. Still, I get penalized on line 38 of form 1040-SR for estimated tax penalty. Unless I input the date for the quarterly payments on or before the first day of the quarter, it shows a penalty. I believe this is not the way the tax law reads.
