Every year it gets less and less friendly

More unnecessary repetition, inexplicable forms unnecessarily inserted. Problems every year with importing financial information from external accounts.

Thank you very much and this year I had to pay more for the 2024 tax year but you made it easier for me to accept the outcome!

One question
on March 6, 2025

The expert helped quickly. My wait time was under 10 minutes. I have one question -- all my stock sales imported from the brokerage account was marked "needs review." But no changes were made to these entries and I only looked at 1/4 of them.

TurboTax Home & Business 2024 was the Answer
on March 6, 2025

Used TurboTax Home & Business for the first time in 2024 because I had started a business, specifically a single-member LLC for my rental property in California. I found this version of TurboTax to be largely as easy to use as my previous experiences with TurboTax Premier. Because I had rental income reported to me as an individual and to my new LLC, I needed to complete two separate Schedule E Worksheets so that when the data were transferred from my federal return to my California return, the proper amounts would appear in my state return for CA Form 568 (Limited Liability Company Return of Income). It took several abortive attempts to discover that I needed to prepare the LLC Schedule E Worksheet first or the rental income/expenses would not transfer to CA Form 568 property. But in the end, with some TurboTax expert advise (which I paid for), I was able to get everything input properly in the correct order so that my federal and state returns were completed correctly.
