Amended Returns Cannot Be E-Filed

Very unclear when it comes to filing amendments. Took hours to figure out how to supposedly file an amendment through their desktop app and try and troubleshoot where and how to e-file it - only to then run into barriers and the message that we cannot e-file it, only mail it in (a far inferior and less reliable method). There is no excuse for a quality filing program not to offer e-filing of amended returns, as the IRS has accepted e-filed amended returns since 2019. Second, the fact TurboTax does not allow amended returns to be e-filed should be CLEARLY COMMUNICATED UP FRONT. It is not.
