OUR UNCLE M R CRUZ HAS BEEN THE ONE THAT DOES OUR TAX RETURNS. AND BOTH US AND HIM COULD NEVER HAD A BETTER SOFT WARE. TO US IT IS THE BEST SOFT WARE MY UNCLE HAS BEEN USING TURBO TAX SINCE THE FIRST TIME TURBO TAX CAME OUT ON THE MARKET.

Need Improvements!

For some unknown reasons, when I printed an entire package of the tax returns, there are some incomplete printed pages. I have a new Brother laser printer. So ... I don't know the problems are within the TurboTax software or the Brother printer software! I have to print a few pages at a time to make sure that I have a complete information on each page. The printing was done within the TurboTax software, not the external "pdf" file.
On another note, if I have a Cover California insurance, questions for the Form 8962 did not automatically pop up after answering a "Yes" on health insurance question, I had to manual search for the form on TurboTax to complete the information! This is ridiculous!

too much to pay extra

Making one pay $45 extra for Turbo Pro when e-filing state with money from fed return to checking is way too much.

TurboTax - always my #1 choice in tax software.

I've been using TurboTax since the 80's, when it was first available on a CD disc. I've never been audited or had any issues with the software. Prior to that, I did my taxes with pen, paper, tax tables and the booklets you used to get from the Post Office lobby.
As long as TurboTax is around, I'll be using it every year.

Turbotax turns taxes into a video game

Turbotax makes doing my business and home taxes fun like a video game. I'm no expert but I do feel confident doing my taxes is in TurboTax. Thing is at the end seeing the audits scale gives me a real sense of comfort and I've been using it for more than a decade. Love that it remembers what I did last year so I never have to be putting in things I've already endured in the past and seeing the two year comparison in each of the areas gives me a sense that I'm on track or let's me know if I've missed something big.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Most of it is very easy to navigate But I receive an Identity Personal Identification Number and there is not an easy way to enter it. I know my taxes will be returned to me. I tried asking the Help Desk but got nowhere, Last year it was easy. This year it was not. Get consistent with this PIN number
