The easiest way to file taxes

I've been using TurboTax for several years now, and it never disappoints! The step-by-step guidance makes filing taxes incredibly easy, even for someone who isn't a tax expert. The interface is user-friendly, and I love how it automatically imports my W-2 and past tax returns, saving me time and effort.
One of the best features is the built-in error-checking, which ensures I don’t miss any deductions or credits. It even provides explanations for complex tax terms, so I always feel confident that I’m filing correctly. Plus, the option to upgrade for live expert help is a great safety net if I ever have questions.
Filing electronically is seamless, and I usually get my refund faster than expected. Overall, TurboTax is a fantastic tool that makes tax season stress-free. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy and reliable way to file their taxes!

Turbo Tax is the standard for tax forms

I have used Turbo Tax for decades and it does a good job. It had a bit of trouble this year with 429 conversions to Roth IRAs. The banners suggesting buying additional state forms when I already completed the proper forms are confusing and most unhelpful. The marketing needs to be relevant, or it seems predatory. I wish when reviewing state entries it did not make me re-input everything.

Turbo Tax is not so Awesome this year!

I have been using TT for years(desktop); something is bad wrong this year! Recent updates caused me look like I owed $1000 more. Had to go back through return to find what happened, can't remember what it was. Had issues with it trying to charge me a $35 penalty on federal when I owed less than $500. Had trouble at one point saying it couldn't e-file my Alabama return. That somehow went away. When it was all said and done, I had to completely start from the beginning with a new return to get it done. I had to go through the penalty part of the program to get the $35 removed, that was not easy to find or easy to get information in the program. Not sure about using Turbo Tax next year! There is something bad wrong this year!

I have had a wonderful experience. I had trouble with my Federal Return and I was able to solve on my problems. I called a total of three times and each time my problems were solved. I had great contacts with you support people and each time they resolved my problem.

Overall I am still satisfied with the product but the interface was better in 2023 particularly on the INT and DIV worked. I will be considering switching back to HR Block with the additional features they have added on tax support that are included in the price.

Roadblocks this year with 1099-R

I have used Turbo Tax for years and have been happy with it. This year it seemed to have unnecessary roadblocks that made using it more difficult. For my 1099-R It kept wanting me to put a number in box 16. There was not a box 16 on any of the 1099-Rs (We had 3 of them). I finally looked at answers from other turbotax users and decided to use the same number as in box 1. I hope that is correct. It just kept popping up with the message to pay another $60 for a live tax advisor. I'm already paying the additional $60 for audit defense and $25 to efile my state return. I did not want to pay another fee. It is starting to seem to be false advertising that I can file for the fee that I paid when I purchased TurboTax.
