TurboTax does a remarkable job of "dealing with" our IRS Filing System which has grown to be Way Too Complex thanks to our Federal Bureaucracy -- all these Forms, really!!

Unresponsive to customer issues.

Turbotax has been unresponsive to numerous reports of a bug that shows business expenses "needs review." They have not even acknowledged that they are looking into the problem. Also, the text size on the EasyStep screens is still too small with no way to adjust. This makes the program increasingly difficult to use as I age.

Turbotax gives me the confidence to do my own business taxes. Overall I'm very happy with TurboTax. I've used it for a number of years now, and plan to continue using it in the future. The few weak points I do note are: explanations for some of the boxes and forms are very good, and some are weak, in which case I may need to resort to IRS publications or a call to my accountant. Also, while TurboTax is a very good tool for my federal return, I think it is a little weaker on the state tax side. Once I had to file an amended return for the state, and the Oregon Department of Revenue ended up adjusting some of the values that TurboTax filled the form with. Ultimately, due to an odd scenario, I had to file a second amended state return. This time I had to do it by hand on paper, because Turbotax really wasn't set up for me to do a revised amended return for the state without also messing with my federal return, which I didn't need to do.
