Difficulty with car change on business side

This was the first year I had issues that were difficult to resolve and found explanations available in the software very lacking. Everything else has always been great. Because one of my vehicles used in business was totaled this year, and the amount varied over the years, figuring out how to figure the basis and loss/gain took excessive amounts of time. All it said in program was that it couldn't automatically figure it if amounts varied - then did not warn me not to proceed using the percentage it was giving me for calculations. This seemed off and took a LOT of exploring online to find the answers - marking it as converted to personal use and going through another way, etc. It was ridiculous that there was no further direction or instruction on how to proceed if your percentage of use varied year to year. Also, not turbo tax's fault, but it sucks to get hit with a "gain" when one car was totaled after hitting a deer and being out double what I got for the vehicle to get a new one, but not being able to count that cost unless I then take actual cost all years.

Good overall, but less intuitive when it comes to entering simple numbers like interest earned from financial institutions that send 1099-INT. Default is complicated process to download info when all you need to do is enter one number manually.

TurboTax is a great product

Turbo tax was very easy to use and produced all my required tax forms. Love that it imported all needed data from last year's return without me having to input it. Took me less than 8 hours to complete my Federal and State taxes. Worth every penny I spent, have used them for a number of years and will continue using this software.
