HIDDEN FEE

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN THE $40 FEE TO FILE FOR THE FEDERAL WHEN IT STATES FILE FEDERAL FOR FREE. I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS, AND THIS WILL BE MY LAST YEAR. I FILE FOR MY FAMILY SO THAT IS $40 FOR EACH PERSON!!! The product itself is great to use. I would have given 5 stars but the fee just deceitful.

Could be improved

Overall good ,but could be better. W-2 form upload didn't work, so I had to enter everything manually. Also, a lot of unnecessary questions each year, just to conclude that standard deduction is the best way.

next year estimates - as pain in the butt

In preparing 2025 estimates, I found it impossible to find and alter the amount of the estimates. Why can't you have a "next Year Estimates" line in the other tax forms area or even better near the currrent year estimates. Why does it have to be hard?

Worst Turbotax version for Mac in years

Been using Turbotax for years and this has been the worst experience by far.
• 90% of the screens are the same but any new screens had horrible UI/text that went along with them.
• By far the worst part was that Printing feature to save your records does not work! Thank god for CatinaT1 who posted a workaround in the Turbotax community
• When I go to file, there is no ability to select to E-file my federal taxes and File by mail for my state. Work around it to E-file federal and elect not to e-file state return now.
