I've been using Turbo Tax since the days of 3.5 inch hard disks! I love Turbo Tax, over the years TT has made tax season less stressful and worrisome for me. Keep up the good work!

TP Remote Work Income Error

Good experience until my return for the State of Missouri return indicated "Form MO-NRI: TP Remote Work Income should not be greater than total Missouri wages entered on your federal return." It wasn't. In my case, I didn't have wages. I had business income as a self-employed sole proprietor paid for my time on an hourly basis with earnings on an approximate 70/30 (remote/onsite) split. I pulled the numbers directly from Schedule C correctly allocating the Missouri onsite versus the remote income and expenses. However, I was unable to clear the error message to complete my state return. Since I had confidence that my split of Missouri income and expenses was correct, I am left to believe that this error is because TurboTax is strictly looking for "wages" rather than wages or net income. All in all, a very frustrating end to an otherwise good experience.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it appears to work well. There are a couple of spots you have to figure out to perfect the return. It should no there is no RMD required on payment that go to the taxpayer monthly like a Civil Service Pension.

OK software but it has regressed from prior year

Tax year 2024 software took a significant step backwards in terms of ease of use and ability to navigate. The simplest of returns are probably not going to see these issues. However, I found many dead end loops and fields that had to be reinput. To correct a couple of these I had to switch to Forms mode and then back to Step by Step.

Frustrated tax payer

Does not automatically save after each entry. So I lost everything twice! Then when I finally got to the end of my returns, it would not let me print anything. Very aggravating experience but I gave you a 2 anyway.
