Turbo Tax is the best to file taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I find it easy to use and navigate through the forms. I like the fact that I can see a form or use a worksheet if needed. I like the fact that it reviews and finds errors.

Turbotax - reluctantly still using it.

turbo tax is getting less responsive by the year. it asks lots of questions over and over and over. it's IRA review calculation seems to be broken. it tells me to increase the IRA there, but it's already at the maximum for my income. goofy.

Did not provide explanations on all key aspects required to file. In addition, Turbo Tax forced us to fill in a business name on our Schedule C when it specifically stated to leave blank.

Genderally good product, but too much upselling!

It mostly works well, but the upselling is getting out of hand. I bought Home & Business, but also needed to buy Business (since the "Business" of "Home and Business" doesn't cover all business types). Then, there are the upsells to pay for state filing (even when you don't need them, leading to having to work with support on a refund), audit defense, live support, annual renewal pricing, etc. The product itself is pretty good. It takes you through most things step-by-step, though you'll have to do a lot of Googling to answer some of the questions.

Step-by-Step still needs work to be complete.

Many of the questions needed to complete the return correct were not asked in the step-by-step.
I had to open forms and enter info that was not asked o be able to complete it. I would have felt more comfortable with the results if everything was covered correctly from the beginning without having to catch the things the software missed in step-by-step. This is the second year in a row this has occurred. 1095-a & 1099-R
