TurboTax Works and Plays Well with Other Software

The combo of TurboTax and Koinly is excellent for handling all the types of taxes you might incur in the US. Over the last few years, I've been able to find answers to any questions on the Intuit forums and am able to use the software well. Adding Koinly into the mix allows very detailed accounting of my crypto investments and I'm able to handle the Schedule C for my LLC.

More capable every year - and I have been using TurboTax since it was introduced as MAC-in-TAX in the eighties!

I wouldn't use anything else. Overall, works very well. Some issues with entering RMDs for inherited IRAs.

Long-term TurboTax Fan

For over 25 years I've relied on TurboTax to ease the process of preparing and filing my federal and state tax returns. Prior to that I had self-prepared my returns manually, studying the IRS publications and forms each year. Initially, I prized it mainly for eliminating arithmetic errors - now, I prize it for saving me from needing to study the IRS publications for changes in rules, forms and procedures - and making it a breeze to include my wife's small business in our tax filing. It's well worth the price of the annual software package - but more so in the time it saves!

I've used Turbo Tax since 2001, always a great experience! I highly recommend it to anyone looking to avoid a hefty tax preparation fee. The application is intuitive and easy to use.
