I find some of the steps to be cumbersome. Such as having to enter an amount on the particy
ular form but having to enter it on another form first. eg Gross Income form W-2. But overall I am happy with the way TT helps avoid errors.

TurboTax makes it easy

TurboTax makes it so simple to file a tax return that I wonder why people who do not have an extremely complicated financial situation would hire a a tax accountant. Turbotax has been my filing method for over 20 years and I expect to continue — unless the IRS makes the free filing app they are testing in several states available nationwide.

TurboTax Still Right For Me

I've been using TurboTax for many, many years, probably within a year or two of its creation. I've always appreciated the accuracy and clarity by which the work flows through the return. I usually opt for TurboTax to ask me all the questions even though it takes a little longer but, this way I don't miss anything.

TurboTax Not As Good As In The Past

I've used TurboTax the past 5 years and think it has gone downhill. It was much more difficult to understand this time but I'm not sure why. My tax situation is actually less complicated than in the past but the instructions and explanations were harder to follow. I wondered whether that was intentional to try to get more people to buy the on-line tax advice package. Next year I may try another tax preparation software.
