User interface updates for 2024 are not good

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and always enjoyed the ease of inputting data and how the software walks you through each section. In 2024's edition I noticed alot of changes have been made to the user experience that I believe made it more confusing and time consuming. For ex., there are so many more clicks needed to get through the income and deductions section. I preferred when you could see all 10 categories at once. The explanations on some items such as 1099-K were not helpful at all, I almost got the feel that they want you to have to pay for the expert advice so they dumbed down the explanations. I am a CPA so I was able to get through these issues easily but you're average non accounting person may struggle. Please go back to the old format Turbo Tax.

Step-by-step is the easiest way to start and complete a return, but ,when you are done, it's a good idea to switch to forms view to make sure all info (mainly deposit info) has transferred correctly. The question icons are good - they open up info in a sidebar that is helpful, and includes hotlinks to IRS info (if applicable).

State of WI; Form WD Capital Loss Carryover

Turbo Tax - State of Wisconsin. Form WD. Turbo Tax does not transfer prior year's Short Term Capital Loss Carryover, Line 34 and Long Term Capital Loss Carryover line 39 to the current tax year's Form WD lines 7 and 16.

Manual input vs download

You are trying to force users to download their interest earnings and this year you have a separate square for each account. I liked the way it was set up last year. To download my info I need to put a user ID and password in for every account therefore I prefer to input myself. Last year after inputting manually for 2 or 3 accounts it stopped asking if I wanted to download, not this year. You screwed up the process royally this year.
