TURBO TAX IS SIMPLY THE BEST!

After decades of preparing our taxes using the Federal guidelines and then struggling with the myriad of forms with no real guidance or system in place my wife and I first used Turbo Tax in 2013. It is an excellent product that from the first made our tax preparation so much easier. I highly value standardization and evolution, not revolution, in improving products and Turbo Tax does that SO WELL. The language, descriptive phrases, easily accessed pop-up boxes with excerpt descriptions and information that provide just the right amount of information without too little information or too much blah-blah-blah. I want a description not a treatise. You do not over-complicate and I greatly appreciate that. You do not change unnecessarily and that is a very wise approach to creating and maintaining a working product that allows users to fill in the blanks that keeps them organized and on-track without leaving anything out nor adding information that isn't needed. I simply can't say enough good about your Turbo Tax product. Please don't screw this up in the future when someone gets a brainstorm to do a "top-to-bottom" overhaul. Remember, please, EVOLUTION NOT REVOLUTION! This is key to your continued success. Familiarity is a wonderful aspect of using a product year in and year out!

TurboTax is still good - but going the wrong way

I've been using TurboTax for many years. Things went smoothly this year - except for entering dividend and capital gains information. I prefer to enter this information by myself, but this year TurboTax made the process very cumbersome - continually trying to force me to download from the financial institution. And - unlike years past - there was no work screen that provided a comprehensive view of dividends/capital gains from current and past year.
