Turbo Tax has regressed.

It used to be easy to use but this year there are challenges. It freezes up. I tried to get a W-2 online. When I decided not to do it that way I had to restart my computer to close out and lost everything I had entered. I may try something else next year. The jury is still out.

Charged for state that had no state income tax.

In 2024 I won $2300 in a Washington casino and had the Federal tax removed. I reported it in my federal return. The Turbotax product I purchased included one state return which I had planned to use for Indiana, where I live. After I finished the Federal, TT informed me that Washington would be free but Indiana would cost me an extra $45 to process. THERE IS NO STATE INCOME TAX IN WASHINGTON. I had to go back through various machinations to get it right. I can't trust TurboTax with my taxes again.

Seemed like TurboTax was not as easy to use this year as in previous years.
Also, I owe money to Federal govt. Turbotax said it would print out the voucher to include with the check I owe after I finish e-filing. I've finished, but no voucher was printed.

ID.Pin is the only issue

TurboTax has never been a disappointment. The only issue is the required ID.Pin. Never received one and had to reach out to the IRS to retrieve one. Delayed the process by a month. This is NOT the fault of TurboTax. Strictly the fault of the IRS

Good experience with working on the return, but it did not allow me to delete the state tax form, as the federal return stated that I did not need to file a state tax return.

So much easier than trying to fill out a paper form or gather stuff for an accountant. It's my 10th year or using TurboTax and who looks forward to it? Not me, but you make it so much easier.
