Has room for improvement

City tax return is not simple enough to guide most people. I filed last 7 years wrong since it never guided me to clarify if I am non resident and provide work outside of detroit, I am entitled to refund. guided steps ask only if you work in detroit, I always clicked because company I work for is in detroit but I provided work outside of detroit that means I lost last 7 years of refund from city of detroit. In process of amending for last 4 years which is nightmare since I have to mail them and usps lost mail twice.

HATE the "improvements"

HATE the changes to inputting 1099-DIV and 1099-INT. It was bad before, but now it is absolutely terrible to deal with. Not everyone wants your stupid download stuff. Give us an opt out version with easy input.

TurboTax costs enough, It is assumed that use will be ok. i complained last year and noone ever responded, If there was a cheaper alternative, i would buy it

Very thorough with just a few glitches

Overall the software guided me through my tax prep with few issues. However, the coverage of an HSA distribution generated an error and nothing I did worked.
