There still are people without decent internet. Downloading took 4 hours. Updates impossible. This year's version as SLOW. Bring back the CD option.

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. I will never use them again after this year.

I use the TurboTax Deluxe every year. Overall, I am satisfied with the program. This is the first year that I did the download, and did not purchase the CD. The download went smoothly as planned.
I wish there was a way to make the forms larger. I struggle to see the small print.

Turbo is ok, but this year I have to say it is not worth the cost.
What's with the hidden additions? Big deal made of $10 Credit. But if you use it suddenly another $40 fee for filing electronically.

It was good enough to get the job done.

Some of the prompts were not very clear. In my 1099-R, Box 7 had a distribution code of B and the box with IRA/SEP/SIMPLE was left blank. TurboTax could have figured it out that the distribution code indicated what type of IRA it was BUT DIDN'T.

There has to be a better alternative

The chronic begging for fees is irritating and when I go to file electronically the "free Federal Tax Filing" doesn't work due to a technical error so I have to mail it.

Not great but probably better than other options

The software hangs frequently with the spinning beachball of death on the Mac (application not responding). Some of the questions are confusing and have been for years - in particular the question about spouse being covered by health insurance. The $25 cost for filing a state return seems a bit outrageous. I could send it with a certified mail receipt for much less but then I need to risk it getting lost in the mail and someone entering it correctly. The states should work with TurboTax to make this more affordable.

I thought I was supposed to get one state return for free but had to pay for both.
